PowerPoint 2013 crashes when add-ins are in use
Problem
PowerPoint 2013 crashes when add-ins are in use and Kaspersky Internet Security software is installed on your computer.
Solution
Uninstalling Kaspersky may allow some add-ins to work, but one known complete solution: reformat your hard drive and re-install everything from scratch.
Kaspersky has acknowledged this problem but hasn't done anything about it to date.

Their current reason for doing nothing about it is that they've heard few problem reports. That's likely because it's far from obvious that they're the ones causing the problem, so if you're experiencing this problem, please report it to Kaspersky.
