"Hyperlinks can be harmful to your computer and data"
Problem
In a slide show, you click a link to another slide in the same show and see an error message like this:
Opening "c:\" Hyperlinks can be harmful to your computer and data. To protect your computer, click only those hyperlinks from trusted sources. Do you want to continue? Yes No
Instead of "Opening c:\" it may show some other path.
Solution
In PowerPoint 2003:
- Choose File, Properties from the main menu bar.
- In the dialog box that appears, click the Summary tab, then delete the text next to "Hyperlink base".
In PowerPoint 2007:
- Click the Microsoft Office button.
- Click Prepare on the left.
- Click Properties on the right. The properties pane appears above the current slide.
- At the top left of the properties pane, click Document Properties and choose Advanced Properties.
- In the dialog box that appears, click the Summary tab, then delete the text next to "Hyperlink base".
