Working with colors in MS Graph
Confused about how colors work in the charts you create in PowerPoint?
Would you be even more confused if we told you that PowerPoint doesn't create charts? It doesn't, you know. It calls on a little program called MS Graph to do the heavy lifting (or charting). That's why charts don't always seem to follow the same rules as the other graphics you create in PowerPoint.
PowerPoint MVP Echo Swinford has created this tutorial about working with colors in MS Graph and how PowerPoint's color schemes and Graph's colors interact.
Our Periodic Table of the Graph is mainly intended for people who're trying to program Graph using VBA or another language, but it contains information about Graph colors that'll be useful for designers and others.
