PPT2HTML includes a useful feature: the Diagnostic Template.
Go to the Preferences dialog, choose the Templates folder you want to work with, then doubleclick any part of the gray area of the Preferences dialog that's not occupied by buttons or other "furniture".
PPT2HTML automatically generates a new template file called DiagnosticTemplate.htm in the current templates folder.
DiagnosticTemplate.htm thoroughly exercises all of PPT2HTML's capabilities - when you generate HTML from your presentation using it then view the resulting HTML, you'll see exactly how it treats each of the placeholders.
The diagnostic template also includes all of the Document Properties, plus any Custom Properties you've defined for that presenation.
